Catamount Community Radio - January 18, 2009

Haven't been much of a blogger lately, have I? I may try to rectify that, or I may not. Rectify? That sounds wrong, even if it means to right. So anyway, some Bacharach, some Merle Haggard, along with the usual eclectica.

Woke up today to see enormous snowflakes falling. A rare treat.

Favorite words from today's songs:

What do you get when you kiss a girl?
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia,
and after you do, she'll never phone you.

I quickly opened the wardrobe
rolled out some jeans
and a T-shirt that seemed clean.

In the wilds of Borneo
and the vineyards of Bordeaux
Eskimos, Arapaho,
Move their bodies to and fro.

I want to wake up in the morning
with that dark brown taste
I want to see some dissipation
in my face.

It's so natural that you'll want to go to war.
That's just the best-est band that am, Honey Lamb.

Sunday Morning Coming Down.

I woke up Sunday mornin tryin to hold my head a way that didn't hurt, then stumbled to the closet and found my self my cleanest dirty shirt.--Kristoferson

---something in your blog made me think of that.

Re: Sunday Morning Coming Down.

Exactly! I had the same thought when I first heard that lyric.

Re: Sunday Morning Coming Down.

But...I really DID wake up Sunday morning tryin to hold my head a way that didn't hurt! haha

Re: Sunday Morning Coming Down.

Oh. In that case, it's a 37 ° tilt to the left, with one hand over your eyes, and the other at the back of your head.
