Catamount Community Radio - November 27, 2016

Yesterday I made myself a list. I called it "TASKS."

• Read seven student essays
• Prepare radio show
• Read pp. 71-118 of novel
• Practice piano 1 1/2 hrs.
• Walk Roscoe one hour
• Change Mishu's litter

Normally, when I make a list for myself, I do about half of what's on it. Yesterday, strangely, I did everything on my list. Still, I didn't experience the expected sense of accomplishment. It was more like, what kind of fool spends an entire Saturday working and ticking things off a list? Is the glass have empty or half full? Get a big enough glass and it will be almost completely empty.

Jim Dandy told me once about a restaurant in Key West called "Siboney." With typical Dandyesque humor, he called it "Sea Bunny." (He calls Bill Frisell "Frizzle.") I played Cachao doing Ernesto Lecuona's "Siboney," in descarga style.

Supposedly 90.5 will move to 95.3 at some point. I imagine that maybe when we make the move, the internet stream will resume, and I'll have Jim back in the fold. One can only hope. So I notice that WCQS, the NPR affiliate that has been broadcasting at 91.5 and 95.3 is gone from the latter. Are they clearing it out for us?

...and I really did think it was called The Sea Bunny until I seen it's name in print. haha. Thanks for the shout out.

Re: Yaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!
