Catamount Community Radio - September 11, 2016

I clearly remember September 11, 2001. I was in bed when it happened. The spouse called to tell me about it. I got to school and we watched TV in the classrooms instead of having class. I even played basketball that day. It must have been a Tuesday or a Thursday. I remember my initial thought, probably somewhat cold: What a mountain range of verbiage this is going to produce. I have to give myself credit though, it sure did. Everybody was writing about it. You know what though, I'm convinced to this day that a little more silence and quiet reflection would have been preferable. Then the build-up to the wars. I have to give myself credit for foreseeing how disastrous those things would be ahead of time. What are we doing? I thought.

What's so funny about a little peace love and understanding, anyway?
