French Poem

Yesterday I visited a French class. One of the activities was to write ten words that you like. The teacher said not to think too much about it. I wrote my ten:

1. rêve (dream)
2. sorcier (sorcerer)
3. éscargot
4. cuisine (kitchen)
5. nuage (cloud)
6. simulacre (simulacrum)
7. garçon (young man)
8. québecois
9. patois
10. grenouille (frog)

Part two (should have seen this coming) was to write a poem based on those words. My poem:

Il avait un sorcier
un mauvais sorcier
un sorcier québecois
il regarde les nuages
les belles nuages canadiennes
simulacre du ciel
il pense aux éscargots
á la cuisine de sa mere
il parle ce patois
des mauvais sorciers
il pense aux grenouilles
qu'il a mangés
á la cuisine de sa mere

(The was a sorcerer
an evil sorcerer
a Québecois sorcerer
a young man.
He looks at the clouds
the beautiful Canadian clouds.
Simulacrum of heaven.
He thinks about the snails
in his mother's kitchen.
He speaks that dialect
of evil sorcerers
He thinks of the frogs
that he has eatean.
in his mother's kitchen.)
