My Stats

I've had a paid account on Livejournal since January, which enables me to keep track of my stats - the number of visitors and the number of page views. Out of curiosity, I've done some tabulations.

In the first six months of the year, there have been 3,878 visits to the blog (I wonder by how many different people), and 10,746 page views.

The average is 21.5 visits per day, with 59.8 page views. That means a typical visitor looks at about three pages.

The outliers: On June 11, I had four visitors who looked at 11 pages. One January 2nd, five visitors looked at seven pages. On April 23, 128 visitors looked at 176 pages; on April 1, 124 visitors saw 166 pages.

The top months were April and March, 36/72 for the former; and 27/68 for the latter. At the bottom are June and January, with 13/45 and 13/47 respectively.

Month /Ave. Visitors/ Ave. Page Views:

JAN / 13 / 47
FEB / 22 / 79
MAR / 27 / 68
APR / 36 / 72
MAY / 18 /48
JUN / 13 / 45

Who are all these people and why don't they comment? (Am I asking for trouble?)

Re: stats

I have no idea who they are. Does it seem like a lot to you? I sometimes wonder myself. I think typically readers don't comment, unless they have a strong compulsion to do so. I sometimes think about my most whimsical, nonsensical post gets more readers a an article in a scholarly journal. Too bad blog posts don't count toward tenure and promotion!

Sorry. Wrong Number.

How did I get on THIS page?
I can't see a thing without your glasses!

Re: Sorry. Wrong Number.

As my daughter would write, "lol."
