Juan and Manolo

Juan thought he'd try his luck; after all, desperate times call for desperate measures. It looked like they had forgotten to lock the bus. He looked around, didn't see anybody who could possibly be the driver, so he pushed the door. It opened. Once inside, he started methodically going through the backpacks and purses, taking any money or valuables he could find. What he didn't count on was Manolo and his machete. Manolo had been waiting in the shade of a tree for the gringos to get back from their tour of the radio station. He had seen Juan go into the bus. When Juan saw the machete, and the determination and anger on Manolo's face, he decided not to resist.

It's dark down here in luggage compartment, but the police will be here soon.

Re: hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa...

Based on a true story. Quito, Ecuador. I was one of the gringos. The one who explained it to the rest who couldn't speak Spanish.
