Catamount Community Radio - January 19, 2014

I took arriving at the last minute to new heights today, but still was on the air when the top-of-the-hour stuff was finished. The phone rang at maybe 10:15. it was Jim Dandy, letting me know that the internet stream wasn't streaming. So we had a cover contest today, with no entries. Mary Ellen is working for the spousal unit today, and Susan couldn't listen from Michigan, due to the server problem. I hope we're back on the interweb next week. I love to do radio, but I always like to imagine Jim Dandy out there, Mary Ellen, Susan, Eliza and Patrick, Hartwell and Alex, Tomás, José Luis and Cati ... You know, people whose faces I can imagine, out there listening.

So I'm thinking of not posting my play list this week; that way I can do the very same cover contest next week.

I did do three mule-themed tunes today: Ben Webster's ""Frog and Mule" - where did that title come from?, Jimmy Rogers' "Mule Skinner Blues," and Taj Mahal's "She Caught the Katy and Left Me a Mule to Ride."

So, anyway, tune in next week. Hopefully, we'll be streaming on the internet and things will be as they should be.

Catamount Community Radio, Sunday mornings, 10-12 (Carolina time) on WWCU.
